Warren Buffet just dumped all his Costco shares. Perhaps, daily examples of the following, in all Costco stores, is the reason he did dump his Costco stock.

Against my better judgement, I asked my friend to go to Costco in Kamloops, BC yesterday in the hopes of stocking up before another potential covid lock down. I live in rural BC, a few hours away from the nearest Costco. I am immune-compromised, elderly, and disabled. My friend is also in the same boat.

Before going to Costco, I phoned to find out that there is still a senior's hour from 0800hr. to 0900hr. I also learned that Costco makes this time available to "physically" disabled people. No mention if mentally disabled people are welcome in the store or not. So, Costco deliberately discriminates against people with mental disabilities.

I have long known that Costco has no use for people with mental disabilities. Their notices and signage make that abundantly clear. My friend witnessed this for me at the Human Rights Tribunal against Costco and I am happy to continue to point out their discriminatory ***

Further, in spite of the science that says only an N-95 mask will help to reduce the spread of covid virus, Costco has made non-medical masks and coverings mandatory for store entrance. They make no allowances for anyone with an anxiety or claustrophobic disability, who cannot wear a face covering/mask. The science says that covid can be spread in microscopic droplets, and that the non-medical masks will not stop from spreading droplets in the air. Further, cases of covid are spiking in spite of mask wearing. Therefore, masks are not doing any good. They are actually demoralizing people and creating a major point of divisiveness within society. As if Trump's efforts to divide people were not enough.

Costco has applied quantity limits on certain items, as they say, in order to ensure everyone can get these items. Surgical gloves, 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, and paper towels are limited to 1-3 items per member per day. So, a member who lives 3 hours out of Kamloops, is elderly, is immune-compromised, and is trying to reduce covid exposure risk by NOT being out and about daily (self isolation), learns that he cannot stock up on supplies and remain self isolated. Costco actually is encouraging covid exposure by setting purchase limits and insisting customers visit the store daily to stock up on limited purchase items.

It is pointless to negotiate this policy with Costco employees. They are all so brain washed into believing Costco policies as being Biblical and non-negotiable. Further, my friend found the female staff at Costco to be overly assertive and over stepping their authority by behaving like covid police. It is not their job to monitor our health. They should mind their own business.

Further, their limit signs near the product items on the shelf are wholly ambiguous as to which items are limit purchases. Paper towels had no limit sign on the shelf. There was no shortage of product this morning. My friend had no problem buying 4 coconut oil and 4 bags of almonds. Pallets were all full. There was a constant coming and going of delivery trucks to the Costco loading bay.

The argument that limits need to be in place so there is enough for everyone, flies in the face of those people who live out of town and need to remain in self isolation over the long haul to prevent the spread of covid. Costco's purchase limit policies should not be applied to those members who live out of town and choose to avoid other human contact in an effort to curb the spread of covid by remaining in their homes for months at a time - only going out to buy groceries once a month or less.

So, while 3 female staff members ganged up on my friend and his partner, removing all the over limit items from their cart and reciting the riot act to them, my friend managed to hide the purchase of 2 boxes of surgical gloves when the limit is 1. In other words, the staff were so busy blindly applying their rules and regulations, they not only traumatized already disabled people, they totally missed that my friend paid for 2 boxes of gloves when the limit is one.

We do not care what anyone else has to say about this. We are totally happy that, in all the confusion, we managed to pull the wool over Costco's eyes as far as their draconian policies go. It was a small victory against the mighty corporate, which has designs on governing all our lives, right down to what we are allowed to eat.

We will also be quite happy if Costco immediately refunds my friend's membership. We have located a fantastic store a similar distance away from us in another town where we can get all that we get from Costco and they apply no purchase limits and do not make masks mandatory. No membership fees either. Their prices are incredibly low compared to Costco. Costco rib eye steak is 30 per kilo. My store of choice is 18 per kilo. The meat is also Canadian, while Costco meat is American import, usually. I can also phone the store ahead of time and special order larger quantities of product. I cannot do that at Costco.

In an affidavit, a Costco manager claimed that we could order on line and items would be home delivered thus we could avoid shopping in store. Well, I tried that and when it came time to checkout, the website informed me that items were not available on line nor were they available to be delivered to the postal code of my choice. In other words, the manager perjured himself in an official court document. This is Costco's usual approach to customers.

A documentary video called "The Corporation" has determined, through scientific study, that corporations are psychopathic in nature and a danger to human society.

Is this what you want from your so called customer service professionals at your favourite big box store?

I urge Costco members to shop elsewhere and give up their memberships. Send a solid message to Costco that they have over stepped their authority. Crush and recycle the Big Box.

User's recommendation: Cancel your memberships and send a clear message to the corporate psychopaths.

Location: Clearwater, British Columbia

Using pseudo science and gender discrimination doesn't help your case or your cause.

What pseudo science? You don't see the *** sign catering to "physically disabled"?

How about just "disabled" so people with mental disabilities feel comfortable shopping at Costco? If that is at all possible knowing the way they treat people.

You're probably an *** Costco shill or employee protecting your corporate bosses. How much MORE profit did Costco make during the fake pandemic?

Thank-you. Their sign says it all. Physical disabilities are ok in Costco, but if you have a mental disability, Costco hates your ***
